Olatoye Salawudeen
Olatoye Salawudeen is a multi-award-winning portrait artist, photographer, and art tutor based in Basingstoke.
Originally from Nigeria, where his work has earned numerous accolades in exhibitions and online competitions, his true passion lies in emotional realism. Olatoye specializes in capturing the depth, nuance, and silent narratives of human faces through hyper-realistic pencil and charcoal drawings.
Armed with an MA in Curating and a unique academic background in Microbiology and Public Health, Olatoye brings a deeply observant, analytical eye to his practice. He is dedicated to creating timeless legacy commissions and fostering community creativity through his interactive workshops, Sip & Paint events, and one-on-one art tutoring. As the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Talk Canvas Prints, a commercial gallery in Lagos, Nigeria, he actively curates and mounts ongoing exhibitions, continually connecting compelling visual storytelling with a broader audience.
